It was the Summer of Love in sunny California. A dream of love, anti war, art communion, a life where real values holds what they worth, where love, friendship, inner beauty, solidarity and freedom were more important than material possessions. On that beautiful utopia times, the world assisted to one of the most shocking events ever seen, actress Sharon Tate killed by young people from a sect known as The Family.

Sharon Tate was director Roman Polanski’s wife, and on the night of August 8th of 1969 she and her unborn baby together with Wojciech (Voyteck) Frykowski, Steve Parent, Jay Sebring and Abigail Folger were killed by The Family, Charles Manson idea of fun. I won’t go deep on this subject so yo can read what happened on “The death of Sharon Tate and Manson Murders”

Well, now Charles Manson released a new album and the morbid yellow media looks fascinated at this. I’m not one that can’t recognize and RECOMMEND the idea of proper rehabilitation. But this murderer never shown any regret and he gets press and recognition just for being a serial killer?

I don’t know. Even though the record is meant to be free, there are companies selling it, won’t give links to them, but the least we can do is to avoid a killer, mass murderer and psychopathic role model gets money from this, so HERE IS THE FREE CHARLES MANSON ALBUM. Those interested in it can download for free. To be honest, I didn’t even care to unzip the file to listen to it, nor I plan to do it. I hope not a single one of the visitors of this page downloads it, but if you do, at least don’t give him money.

So after some time without no posts on my own leaving it all to Fabio and his basketball driven rants I’m back to post something that called my attention, and it is Thomas Beatie, also known as the “pregnant man” or “pregnant transgender”. Of course, I’m quite sure this must be a hoax same as it happened in 1992 with Edwin Bayron also known as, Carlo , a 32 years old Filipino male nurse who claimed to be pregnant in order to support Bayron’s court application for a legal change of name and sex so that he could marry his Army officer lover.

Anyway, you can see all the media already cashing in on the fake success. And if it’s not fake, then the media vultures are destroying a success which could range anywhere between miracle and a strong ethical discussion, not to mention the scientific implications. I’m very curious on how will this develop and probably will post more on this subject in the near future.

On a side note, I remember when the Filipino hoax shown up there was something about a prize from the Queen of United Kingdom for the first confirmed male pregnancy, however, couldn’t find anything about it, so if anyone knows, please post it.

Marian insisted this song HAD to be here and here it is. She’s a HUGE fan of Depeche Mode, and this is one of his favorite songs. So I was reading this post on Washington Post about Indie Rockers love Caron Butler and since it mentions Stephen Malkmus I was interested as a big Pavement fan and a huge basketball fan. Some excerpts

So the indie rock genius dude who lives in Oregon was naming songs after Caron Butler. Which seemed curious. But then a reader just sent along this Village Voice interview with Malkmus, in which this cosmic connection goes from curious to downright bizarre:

VV: So, whom are you secretly hoping might be in the audience on the East Coast this time?

SM: Obviously Caron Butler from the Washington Wizards. Both women in the band have a crush on him, and I have my own man-crush on him. It’s a great story. His mom was basically a crack addict in a really rough area of Wisconsin, and he’s managed to keep the team in the playoffs. It’d be really nice to meet him. Not anyone specifically from within the Beltway so much.

“Obviously?” And then it turns out that his drummer Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney, has two Wizards ranked in her “Top 5 Hot NBA Players” list. I mean, maybe bizarre is too much, but for three members of a Pacific Northwest indie rock group to be crushing on the second-most famous player on a D.C. NBA team….well, anyhow, in the Wiz vs. Cleveland playoff battle of musical icons, it’s now Malkmus and the Jicks and Sleater-Kinney and Soulja Boy and Biz Markie vs. Jay-Z. And this puppy is no longer Jay-Z in a rout. If we can just lure the Digable Planets and Yo La Tengo to our side, LeBron and Jay-Z will be forced to surrender.

Well, Mr. Dan Steinberg, you may have a point somewhere, but the true fact of life is EVERYBODY loves Manu Ginobili although some people still doesn’t know, lol. Besides, he plays with Fabricio Oberto, a guitar and violin player who loves to play Radiohead songs, you can’t get more indie and basketball than that!

So here’s for you Washington Wizards lovers, Manu setting the controls for 5inco!!!!
